Lula Flores

Description	:	While searching for essence within her paintings, Lula continues her art through observation. Whereas one might only see an object, she sees a composition of light, shadows and shapes. It is the combination that forms the beginning of Lula’s spirited works. As a young girl in Chile, Lula became interested in drawing and spent her young adulthood studying sculpture, painting and drawing at the University of Chile, and later at the University of Valparaiso. After immigrating to the United States, she attended Pierce College in the South California and continues her studies. Lula received high marks in Life Drawing, Graphic Design, Illustration, Sculpture, and Painting and was on the Dean’s list. She was honored by professors, from other Universities at her first exhibition and won first prize for her work in both the Abstract and Life Drawing categories.
