Description : London artist Sam Wibberley graduated m both Middlesex and Manchester Universities in 2D and 3D art in the late nineties. His entire diploma show was selected for the Young Artist of the Year Exhibition in 1998 and a succession of commissions and a body of work has followed. His works shows a rare perception and interpretation of modern world figure iconography, reinterpreting system based Op art for the 21st Century.

He was commissioned in 2007 to create 4 portraits of the Clash utilizing references of significant landmarks in the band's early career for the Xfm UK Music Hall of Fame. The mirror interpretations were shown at the Proud Gallery which was the rehearsal venue for the band in the late 1970's. They are now on permanent display at the Hammersmith Palais.

Other significant pieces mix both 2D and 3D concepts which are portraits of modern media icons ranging across from politics, movies, music, TV and other performing arts.
